UniFirst Corporation, a leader in providing premium workplace uniforms and protective wear, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal functioning of our sophisticated textile processing equipment and machinery. Based within our dynamic industrial facilities, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the high standards of operational efficiency and reliability that UniFirst is renowned for across the United States, Europe, and Canada. Perform routine and predictive maintenance on industrial textile processing equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean work environment. Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention. Collaborate with other team members to manage repair schedules and minimize downtime. Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as required. Adopt and promote UniFirst's continuous improvement ethos to all maintenance activities. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Experience with industrial maintenance tools and equipment. Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Preferred: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) OSHA Safety Certification is a plus
