Job Description:
Senior Data Scientist Location: Beachwood, OH As a Penske Senior
Data Scientist you will be responsible for building, delivering and
maintaining data science solutions that enables Penske to advance
our predictive analytics capabilities. You will function in a
project/technical leadership role and will complete high-level data
science solutions. You will also conduct appropriate testing and
provide support to end users for implemented solutions.
Responsibilities Formulate and define system scope and objectives
and prepare detailed specifications for data science projects.
Develop and maintain scalable data science models. Provide quality
reviews and improvements for existing models. Be a technical
subject matter expert for the organization in the data science
space. Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve
data models that support all aspects of the organization and foster
data-driven decision making. Provide both project and technical
leadership roles to complete complex system level assignments.
Contributes to technical development of junior associates through
mentorship and collaboration. Qualifications The minimum
requirements are 3+ years of experience along with a PhD in a
related field OR 5+ years of experience along with a Master's
degree in a related field. Experience designing and building
machine learning applications using both structured and
unstructured datasets is required. Practical experience programming
using Python, R or other high level scripting languages is
required. Demonstrated experience with one or more machine learning
techniques including logistic regression, decision trees, random
forests and clustering is required. Knowledge and experience with
SQL is preferred. Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an
essential function of the job. Willingness to travel as necessary,
work the required schedule, work at the specific location required,
complete Penske employment application, submit to a background
