Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionPosition SummaryEuro USA, Inc., located in Cleveland, OH, is a wholesale distributor of specialty foods and seafoods. We are currently searching for an experienced Fish Cutter. Applicants must have fish cutting experience in the retail or food service industry and / or possess culinary knife skills necessary to fulfil the requirements of the job.--The Fish Cutter is responsible for picking and processing most species of fish and assist cutting portions to under guidance while maintaining the highest possible industry standards.--Duties and ResponsibilitiesEfficiently process fish to customer specs, while obtaining highest possible quality yieldsResponsible for proper packaging and presentation of hand cut itemsResponsible for scaling, pin-boning, processing whole fish, and making boxes/ice, as neededSanitize cutting boards and knivesInspect all equipment, including tools, pin bone machine, scales and hoses dailyAssure all labels are clear and readable and have the country of origin on themProperly clean and maintain the seafood areas in accordance with G.M.P's and SQF standardsRequirementsQualificationsAbility to identify product by size, type, or product codeSolid reading skills - must be able to read cut sheets and special instructions as requiredPossess basic math and reasoning skillsAbility to take direction from Manager/Supervisor and to understand and execute instructions to ensure efficiencyPossess general understanding of the warehouse and footprintBenefitsEuro USA, Inc. offers the following benefits which are available the first of the month following 60 days of employment:MedicalDentalVisionBasic Life/AD&D Insurance401kEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountVacation/HolidaysWorking ConditionsAbility to move/lift up to 100 lbs.Ability to withstand cool/cold temperatures in a typical food warehouse and processing environmentPosition spends 6 - 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushingSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus--Euro USA is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
