Job Description Job Description Job Title: RN – Med/Surg Telemetry (with $7,500 Completion Bonus) Location: Akron, OH Job Type: Travel Contract Start Date: 12/05/2025 Duration: 13 weeks (91 days) Shift: 3x12 Days or 3x12 Nights Pay: $2,221.20/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description: The Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. This role requires proficiency in telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and the ability to manage complex patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN must be capable of identifying cardiac rhythm changes, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to abnormalities Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies in accordance with facility policy Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document all care accurately in the EMR Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge instructions Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards Float to similar units as required based on staffing needs Requirements & Qualifications: Experience Required: Minimum 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel License: Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission) Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA – active, no pending status) Vaccinations: COVID-19 Vaccine – Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Flu Vaccine – Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) About ATC Healthcare ATC Healthcare has been a trusted leader in healthcare staffing for nearly 40 years, connecting top clinicians with rewarding assignments nationwide.
