Pointe Hospital’s 7th Floor Med/Surg and Observation Unit focuses
on healing and surgery while providing comprehensive care and
services to adults with a wide variety of diagnoses, such as chest
pain, stomach pain, or generalized weakness. With such variety, no
two days are the same, but you will be surrounded every day by a
team of long-standing caregivers who welcome you with open arms.
This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex
Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend
and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start
at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are
only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44
hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This
schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week
with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not
interfere with a typical day shift schedule. How You’ll Benefit -

assistance. - Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and
Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority,
identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing
safety resources. A caregiver in this position works nights from
7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: -
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or
therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare
settings. - Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document
findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal
findings. - Perform telephone triage and call rotations. - Perform
nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications. -
Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and
the health care team. - Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge
needs and facilitate discharge planning. - Evaluate, initiate and
maintain standards of care. - Educate patients and families. -
Cover other nursing roles in the department. Minimum qualifications
for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate of an accredited
school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program). - Current
state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). - Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
presented upon hire. - One-year of current acute care RN
experience. Will consider military RN Preferred qualifications for
the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor of science in
nursing (BSN) Physical Requirements: - Requires full range of body
motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger
dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. - Requires standing and
walking for extended periods of time. - Requires corrected vision
and hearing to normal range. - Requires working under stressful
conditions and irregular hours. - Exposure to communicable diseases
and/or body fluids. - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of
force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently,
and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
to move objects. - Physical Demand requirements are in excess of
those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows
standard precautions using personal protective equipment as
required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the
anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual
compensation will be determined after taking factors into
consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience,
skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include
any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime,
