This role provides 24-hour in-house/on-call coverage at a full-service acute care hospital, supporting a comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery program. Assignment Details Position Type: Locum Tenens Providers Needed: 1 Shift Type: 24-hour coverage Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM On Call: Yes Weekends: Yes Coverage Model: Hospital-based call Pay: Inquire for details Open Coverage Dates March: 7:00 AM 03/13/2026 – 7:00 AM 03/23/2026 April: 7:00 AM 04/03/2026 – 7:00 AM 04/13/2026 April/May: 7:00 AM 04/27/2026 – 7:00 AM 05/04/2026 May: 7:00 AM 05/15/2026 – 7:00 AM 05/25/2026 Practice & Hospital Setting Full-service acute care hospital Adult patient population (100%) Practice coverage supported by mid-level providers Onsite lab and imaging services EMR System: EPIC Hospital Beds: 250 total ICU Beds: 60 Required Procedures & Scope of Practice General cardiothoracic, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) Congenital cardiac defect repairs Valvular repair and replacement procedures Aneurysm repair Lung resections (including VATS) Chest wall and pleural procedures Esophageal and diaphragm surgeries Carotid and renal endarterectomy Bronchoscopy Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues Credentialing & Presentation Requirements Current, up-to-date CV (including locums history) Provider contact information Availability confirmation NPI and/or license number Malpractice and background documentation References, if available Scope of services, if applicable Requirements REQUIRED Qualifications MD or DO (REQUIRED) Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (REQUIRED) Active Ohio Medical License (REQUIRED) BLS and ACLS Certification (REQUIRED) Clean malpractice and background record (REQUIRED) Ability to cover the listed dates (REQUIRED) COVID vaccination compliance (REQUIRED) Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED) Benefits ??
