Overview Responsible for the administrative, fiscal, human
resources, quality improvement, research activities, strategic
planning and regulatory compliance function for the clinical
laboratories and Pathology services. What You Will Do - Work
collaboratively with the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Institute
Director, Division Chiefs, Section Managers to ensure adequate
technical and professional services to support clinical needs. -
Responsible for development and management of new and existing Lab
Services through collaboration and advocacy to senior leadership. -
Responsible for facilitation of operational, technical, regulatory
and financial relationship with operational leadership and system
hospital laboratory and administrative leadership. - Fosters
collaborative interactions with clinical and operational
leadership. - Develops training and educational programs to support
current employees and build a pipeline for future employees.
Additional Responsibilities - Performs other duties as assigned. -
Complies with all policies and standards. - For specific duties and

during orientation. - Must abide by all requirements to safely and
securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. Qualifications Education Qualifications - Bachelor's
Degree (Required) - Master's Degree (Preferred) Experience
Qualifications - 8 years of experience in related field including
several years in people management capacity (Required) and -
Experience complying with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission and/or other
applicable regulatory agencies. (Required) Skills and Abilities -
Thorough knowledge in all areas of laboratory operation including
regulatory and technical aspects. (Required proficiency) -
Demonstrated capability to manage a large department operating
budget. (Required proficiency) - Must have demonstrated leadership
skills and ability to interact professionally with physicians and
administrative staff. (Required proficiency) Licenses and
Certifications - Medical Technologist (MT-ASCP) (Preferred)
