Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience License: Permanent Ohio license required or a Compact State license in hand Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for Description: All requirements listed are non-negotiable. Night shift consists of three 12-hour shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM. A minimum of 18 months recent experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry is required. Candidates must have 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel. A permanent Ohio license or a Compact State license must be in hand at the time of application. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Candidates must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to starting. One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty being applied for is required for qualification. Charge nurse references are acceptable. Required certifications must be active with no pending items. Participants will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required, and candidates have a maximum of two attempts to pass. Background checks are reviewed, but candidates with open cases will not be accepted. Candidates with any license hits will not be accepted. All travelers must be nicotine-free, providing a negative 10 Panel Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start. Any permanent and per diem candidates cannot return for one year from their previous end date. BCI/FBI prints are time-sensitive and must be completed promptly after contract signing. Candidates are required to complete onsite fingerprinting and pick up their badge prior to starting. Modules will vary by specialty and may include billable hours for completion.
