Job Description Job Description Plastics Injection Molding Process Specialist Location: Canton, OH, USA | Department: Injection Molding | Reports to: Injection Molding Manager Is this you? Do you enjoy setting up presses and dialing in parameters until parts run flawlessly? Are you equally comfortable packaging product, assembling components, and troubleshooting equipment on the fly? Do you take pride in meticulous documentation and measurable improvements like reduced scrap and faster cycle times? What you’ll do Set up and start injection molding machines to meet production schedules. Monitor quality and efficiency; adjust process parameters as needed. Troubleshoot molding equipment, auxiliary systems, and tooling issues. Perform routine inspections and execute preventive maintenance as directed. Document process changes and maintain accurate production records. Operate and troubleshoot a semi-automatic “click-machine” to assemble chain per specifications. Package finished goods and support continuous improvement to drive down scrap and improve cycle times. Shifts available 5:00am–5:30pm Friday–Sunday 10:30pm–7:00am Monday–Friday Must-haves Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2 years of hands-on injection molding processing. Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of molding processes, tooling, and semi-automatic equipment. Blueprint reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Communication & problem-solving: Clear communicator with attention to detail and a proactive approach. Equipment operation: Safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts. Team & independence: Comfortable collaborating and working solo. Quality assurance: Proficient with precision measurement tools and strict quality standards. Nice-to-have Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability. Physical demands Standing for extended periods; ability to lift or push completed product up to 90 pounds.
