We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrified
Powertrain Calibration Calibrator to join our dynamic team. This
critical role will be responsible for coordinating the development
and verification of powercube calibration releases across various
functional areas within electrified powertrains. The successful
candidate will drive calibration maturity, arbitrate technical
tradeoffs, and work cross-functionally to achieve program
objectives, ensuring the highest standards of safety, regulatory
compliance, and performance. This position requires strong
technical expertise in calibration methodologies, excellent
organizational skills, and the ability to lead and track complex
and dynamic development cycles. As an Electrified Powertrain
Calibration Calibrator, your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate the development and verification of powercube (PCAL)
calibration releases within the following functional areas:
Powermoding, Thermal Management, LV/HV Charging Calibration,
Battery Management, Motor Control, and other calibration features
that fall within the PCAL perimeter of responsibility. Track and
present calibration maturity status for all PCAL quality gate
reviews, providing essential support to management for senior
leadership status reviews and escalation forums. Skillfully
arbitrate calibration tradeoffs between subsystems to meet program
objectives, including safety, regulatory compliance, vehicle range,
emissions, drivability, and propulsion system stability. Take a
hands-on approach to finding and fixing issues, setting the example
for the team through your direct and hands-on involvement. Work
cross-functionally with other calibration subsystems and vehicle
integration/validation teams to review issues and implement robust
solutions, adhering to best practices and established calibration
methodologies Demonstrate proficiency in data collection,
post-processing, and analysis during calibration release DVP
(Design Verification Plan) activities. This includes the analysis
of functional models to root cause and document controls and
software issues blocking calibration progress. Perform virtual and
in-vehicle testing to achieve calibration maturity at each of the
vehicle milestones throughout the program lifecycle. Plan and
execute cross-functional test trips when required, ensuring
efficient use of resources, timely completion of objectives.
Coordinate and document the allocation of PCAL test resources (both
virtual and physical) for all subsystems, based on the
prioritization of calibration team activities. Represent the
application at management ride and drives, providing expert
insights and technical explanations. Maintain proficiency in basic
computer skills (MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Kanban) and
demonstrate expertise in calibration tool suites (ETAS/INCA,
MATLAB, Simulink, Vector). Familiarity with various platforms that
interface with dyno and virtual testing (HIL) is also required.
Demonstrate careful attention to detail and excellent
organizational skills in all aspects of work.
