Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of

hope.Position SummaryThe CFO is responsible for leading and
overseeing all financial aspects of LMM, including accounting,
finance, treasury, information technology, and risk management. As
a strategic leader, the CFO works closely with the President & CEO
and senior management to develop and execute the organization's
financial goals and strategies. As a key member of the senior
leadership team, the CFO ensures financial stability, drives
growth, and navigates the complexities of the nonprofit sector.
Their expertise is crucial in advancing financial strategies,
optimizing resources, and ensuring fiscal stewardship, all in
alignment with LMM's mission, vision, and values.Some of the duties
include:
- Provide financial insights to the President & CEO and Board to
develop financial strategies aligned with the organization's
mission, vision, and values.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial
statements, performance analyses, and long-term forecasts to
support business growth.
- Monitor financial indicators and market trends to identify
risks and opportunities, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting,
budgeting, and financial analysis, while ensuring compliance with
GAAP.
- Develop and implement policies to streamline workflows, improve
efficiencies, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the senior
leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Optimize resource allocation, identify cost-saving
opportunities, and assess program profitability to ensure financial
sustainability.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, investment strategies, and debt
management.
- Oversee the management of fixed assets and ensure proper
capitalization policies are applied.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including regulatory
compliance, revenue fluctuations, and external market changes.
- Work with external auditors, investment managers, and funding
sources to ensure compliance and transparent reporting.
- Develop and maintain investment policies, and oversee
investment performance in collaboration with the Finance
Committee.
- Provide leadership to the Accounting and Information Technology
departments, ensuring succession planning and staff
development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, Directors, and stakeholders
to support decision-making and align financial initiatives with
organizational goals.
- Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and the Board of
Directors, presenting updates, forecasts, and strategic
recommendations.QualificationsOur ideal candidate possesses a
strong foundation in financial leadership, with at least 8 years of
high-level accounting experience and 5 years in a senior management
role, preferably within a nonprofit or public accounting
environment. They are well-versed in nonprofit finance, GAAP, and
regulatory compliance, and bring a keen ability to analyze complex
financial data to drive strategic decision-making. The ideal
candidate is a collaborative leader with excellent communication
and team-building skills, able to influence stakeholders at all
levels. A Master's degree and CPA certification are preferred,
along with demonstrated experience in risk management, budgeting,
forecasting, and optimizing resources. Above all, they embody high
