The Department of Psychological Sciences at Case Western Reserve
University is seeking applications for an open-rank tenure-track
position to begin July 1, 2024, in the area of child clinical
psychology and mental health. The department offers a PhD program
in clinical psychology, in both child and adult areas, that uses a
scientist-practitioner model, is highly competitive, and has been
continually accredited since 1948. This position is the first of
six new faculty lines to be added as a result of an exciting $60
million investment to help address the growing mental health crisis
within and beyond Northeast Ohio. This investment will establish
the Sara and Curt Moll Institute for Mental Health and Well-Being
and will foster research, education, clinical collaborations, and
community outreach. The successful applicant will have demonstrated
training and experience that align with the mission of the Moll
Institute as related to the mental health and well-being of
children and adolescents.
Rank is determined commensurate with experience. Assistant
Professor candidates will be evaluated on their potential to
establish a prominent, externally funded research program and to
excel in graduate and undergraduate teaching. Associate Professors
and Professors will be evaluated on their demonstrated abilities in
research (including a history of successful external funding) and
teaching.
A PhD in Psychology is required by the time of appointment, with
preference given to candidates who are eligible for licensure in
Ohio. Candidates should submit1) a cover letter, 2) a curriculum
vitae, 3) a research statement, 4) a teaching statement that
includes evidence of effective teaching including teaching
evaluation data, 5) publications or writing samples, 6) a diversity
